If you are a property owner / manager...

Commercial Relocation towing is more commonly referred to as private property towing or tresspass towing.  If you car has been towed, please see below.

Joe's Towing is Bloomington-Normal's Commercial Relocation specialist.  We provide towing of illegally parked and abandoned vehicles to property owners and management companies at the expense of the vehicle owner.  We can provide the signs required by City/Town Ordinance or we can refer you to a company that can create custom signs for you.

Once the proper signs have been posted, there are two ways to handle the towing.  The first is random checks of the parking areas.  At random times of the day, or random times during hours that you specify, we will perform checks on the parking areas.  For example, you can request random checks during the hours of 11pm and 5am daily.  Normally, there are parking stickers issued that we are checking for or no parking zones that we are checking.  The second is by complaint only.  We would check the lot only when we receive a complaint from someone authorized (either from the tenants, management/maintenance, or persons specified by the management).

If your vehicle has been towed...

Call Joe's Towing at 309-829-2123 to see if your vehicle has been towed/impounded.  If we have impounded your vehicle, the dispatcher on duty will be able to give you the information you need to claim your vehicle.

Impounds from Bloomington: Office hours are 8am - 5pm Monday through Friday, excluding holidays.  Other times are available by appointment and additional fees may apply.

Impounds from Normal: Office hours are 8am - 6pm Monday through Saturday, excluding holidays.  Other times are available by appointment and additional fees may apply.

Please be aware that some vehicles impounded by the police department may have a "hold" as mandated by the State of Illinois Vehicle Code, or by the police department.  We are unable to release these vehicles until the requirements of the hold have been met.  For example, most vehicles impounded for Driving Under the Influence (DUI) have a mandatory 12 hour hold (24 hours for subsequent offenses) from the time of towing.  This hold must expire (to the minute) before the vehicle can be released.

Bloomington Police Department Impounds: Most vehicles impounded by the City of Bloomington Police Department (BPD) require that the vehicle owner obtain a "release" from the police department prior to the vehicle being claimed.  This release can only be obtained by going in person to the BPD.  Please contact the Bloomington Police Department to see if your vehicle needs a release.  The copy of the release given to you by BPD (not the receipt for money paid) is REQUIRED to claim the vehicle.  Photocopies of the release will not be accepted.
