We handle the parking stickers for the following apartment managements that provide off-campus apartments at Illinois State University:

               * please contact your management for sticker changes

Your management will handle the initial issuance of parking stickers before the fall semester begins, and will notify you of the procedure to get your sticker.  Please keep the paperwork you receive, you will need it to make any changes to the car you have registered.

Where does the sticker go?

Both your parking permit form and the back of the parking sticker (except SAMI) give you the location of the permit.  If you are looking at the back of your vehicle, the sticker should be placed in the lower left corner of the rear window.  If your windows are tinted, or you have a convertible/soft top, the sticker should be placed in the lower, passenger side of the front windshield, 5 inches from the bottom of the window does not go on a side window, or in the tint in the upper portion of the window.  They are impossible to see in these areas, and could cause your vehicle to be towed.  It needs to be AFFIXED to the window.  Tape can cause the permit to fall off, especially in damp or cold weather.  It fill NOT fall off it is properly attached.

New Car?  Need A New Sticker?

**Please note: In August, 2005, the Town of Normal updated their Municipal Code regarding towing.  These updates changed the way parking stickers are handled.  The new ordinance states: 

"Except upon the termination of a tenancy, no property owner may terminate parking permission without first informing the permit holder in person or in writing of the termination."

What this means to you, as a tenant:  We can no longer cancel an existing permit without the current permit holder present to sign the void permit form.  The only exception is a termination of tenancy, which requires a signed statement from your management that the person who had the permit is no longer a tenant of the apartment.

If you need to make changes to the vehicle you have registered, or to get a new sticker, you must go (in person) to 1207 Warriner, Normal, IL 61761.  You will need the registration for the vehicle you want the sticker for, a drivers license or picture ID, and proof of residency at the apartment (i.e. lease, utility bill in your name with mailing address at the apartment, etc.). There is a $5.00 fee for all sticker changes.  If you lose a sticker, there is a $5.00 lost sticker fee.  If the vehicle remains the same, but you get a new license plate, please have your sticker number and call 454-2481 from 8am - 5pm Monday through Friday.  They can take the new plate information over the phone.

Temporary car?

The parking sticker department at Joe's Towing & Recovery can issue you a "Replacement Parking Permit" for up to 4 weeks.  You must have a current, valid parking sticker at the address you are requesting the temporary for, and it must not be in the parking lot.  Visit Joe's Towing & Recovery at 1207 Warriner, Normal, IL 61761 from 8am to 5pm Monday - Saturday to receive a Replacement Parking Permit.  The fee for a Replacement Parking Permit is $5.00.

Have a guest?

The parking sticker department at Joe's Towing & Recovery can issue you a guest parking permit at some addresses on campus.  Visit Joe's Towing & Recovery at 1207 Warriner, Normal, IL 61761 from 8am to 5pm Monday - Saturday to receive a Guest Parking Permit.  The fee for a Guest Parking Permit is $5.00.  You must know the vehicle description (including make, model, color and license plate) of the vehicle you want to have park in your lot.  Guest parking permits are not issued in advance, only on the day the vehicle will be parked in the lot and are only valid until noon the following day.  Please note...there are some addresses where guest parking is not available, including any lot with reserved spaces.
